Emergency Contacts
It would advantageous to the school if parents/carers could keep the school updated regarding a change of address, home phone numbers, mobile numbers and emergency contact details as soon as possible.
Children In Need
The school raised a whopping £841.42 for Children In Need. A big thank you goes to the Charities Committee who organised this event. Well done!
Also, 3 of our S2 pupils, Emma Davidson, Susan Nelson & Erin Gallacher raised £244.00 by organising a sponsored silence themselves. Well done to you all too!
Borrowed Ties
We have a number of outstanding’ borrowed ties’ which need to be returned to the school office as soon as possible. Pupils are reminded that both Junior and Senior school ties are available for purchase at a cost of £5.50 from the school office.
Urban Showcase
This takes place in the school on November 30th at 4pm. Tickets are available in the hub at break.
Schools Gymnastic Competition
Congratulations to the level two team (Rhona Hendry, Ailsa Stirling & Lauren Hendry) and level one team (Lorna Stirling, Hannah Easdon, Leah Anderson & Emma Waters) who came 4th in the Stirling and Clackmannanshire heats. Special thanks to the coaches Rhona, Ailsa and Clare Pearson.
Visit to Stock Market
Five S3 pupils took part in the interschools Stock Market Challenge in Edinburgh last week. Class teacher Mr Hamilton accompanied Kirsty Paton, Heather Lemmon, Juanita Zaldua, Neil Robertson and Martin O’Connor, who all won a class competition to represent Stirling High School in the challenge. The pupils worked well together to compete against 24 other schools, learning about the workings of the stock market but more importantly practicing their team work, leadership and communication skills. They were a credit to themselves and the school.
Trash Fashion Show
The Trash Fashion Show designers need your support again to help them produce another show full of fantastic garments. They are looking for material flowers, blankets, sheets or duvets, old suits, a top hat and a bunnet. We also need high waist skirts, underskirts and bow ties. If you have any of these items that you no longer require and would like to donate them to this amazing event, please drop them into the school office.
Excellence in Enterprise Conference
On Wednesday 18th November 17 senior pupils took part in this international conference for educationalists. The pupils had to talk about the enterprising activities that they have been involved in and also introduce the conference speakers such as Adam Ingram, Minister for Children and Young People. The Head Boy, Greg MacArthur and Head Girl, Louise Mansion, took on the role as the main MCs of the event.
